The same is true for your air conditioning system, a new large home of 3000 sq ft home will need about 5 tons of air conditioning. Running a low energy efficient system could cost over $250 dollars per month, if you had purchased a high SEER (Seasonal Energy Efficiency) system, this same month could have cost about $90. Of course its all relative to size, smaller homes like an 1800 sq ft Bi-level or ranch, could cost about $40 for that same month.
